Christine, a technician at Sea Girt Animal Hospital since 2007, has been working as a veterinary technician since 1998. She really enjoys the work she does and is especially fond of her duties in surgery, dentistry, monitoring anesthesia, phlebotomy and assisting in outpatient visits. She’s very excited that we’ve recently incorporated digital technology in radiography. Christine’s pet family includes Baki, an American Bulldog.
Nick has been working for SGAH since 2008. He wears many hats here. First and foremost, technician, but also strong arm, repair man, and IT guy. He mostly enjoys assisting in dentistry and surgery as well as radiology and lab work. Nick is always quick with a joke or breaks into song to help the day seem even more enjoyable. He has a mixed breed dog named Knox, and a cat named Pandora. Nick is a music freak and plays drums in a band.
Holly Speakman joined our Veterinary Technician team in June of 2015. She comes with four years of previous experience working in veterinary hospitals. Holly always knew ever since she was a child that she wanted to work with animals, and in 2011 she graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelors degree in animal science. In her spare time, Holly enjoys spending time with her family, husband, and rescued German Shepherd, Drew.
Christopher joined our veterinary technician team in October, 2015, having been
a technician since 2011. Chris loves his job, especially assisting our veterinarians with procedures such as dental cleanings and surgeries. As an animal lover and people-person, he strives to make a difference to our clients by helping their pets. Chris also enjoys helping to train other technicians.
In his spare time, Chris enjoys running and working out, writing, painting, animation and movies. He is a kitten lover and presently has 8 cats
Patty, a client with Sea Girt Animal Hospital since the early 1980's, became a receptionist in 2015 after retiring from the Asbury Park Press. She feels the best part about being a staff member at Sea Girt is working with a great staff and helping clients and their pets.
Patty is married to Tom, and they have 3 dogs: Buster, a big lovable yellow lab; Madison, an adorable Yorkie/Maltese; and Monk, alias Monkeyboy; the cutest order terrier mix that she rescued from the Popcorn Park Zoo.
In her spare time, Patty enjoys baking, reading, flea marketing, and walking.
Amber began her employment with SGAH in October of 2016 as a receptionist with 8 years of experience working in both veterinary medicine and human alternative medicine. Amber is the hospital’s pet insurance go-to, and has spent time attending continuing education at Petplan’s pet insurance headquarters to expand her understanding of the pet insurance system. When Amber isn’t working she’s enjoying hiking, doing photography, and hunting for her next favorite restaurant, or TV food destination. She also enjoys spending time with her rescued kitties, Raziel and Cataldo, and trying to keep up with her shepherds, Fable and Gambit.
Jess has a passion for rescue animals. She worked for years at the MCSPCA before joining our team at Sea Girt. She has four rescue dogs of her own- roger, buddy, Zoey and roofus Larry. Jess enjoys spending time with her husband and toddler son. In her free time, Jess enjoys shopping, sushi and binge watching Netflix.
