Sea
Girt Animal Hospital was opened in 1958 by
Thomas Sollas, Jr., VMD. At that time there were
only two veterinarians in the area. During his
ownership, Dr. Sollas put two separate additions on
the practice. We now have five wards, five exam
rooms, 13 outdoor runs, two offices, large surgery
and X-ray facilities, in addition to several
treatment rooms, and a fenced yard.
Over the years, Dr. Sollas employed as many as five
associate veterinarians at once, including Marilyn
B. Weber, VMD. Dr. Weber is a 1975 graduate of
University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary
Medicine. She became employed by Dr. Sollas
immediately upon graduating in 1975 and purchased
the practice from Dr. Sollas when he retired in
1988. |

Most of our patients are dogs and cats, but we also
see rabbits, ferrets, hamsters, guinea pigs,
gerbils, and some reptiles for routine exams. We
perform a wide variety of surgeries including
orthopedics, X-rays, teeth cleaning and extractions,
wormings, vaccinations, testing for allergies,
allergy injections, bathing and we have an in-house
lab. Also on staff is a certified veterinary
acupuncturist.
In addition to an in-house pharmacy, we sell a wide
variety of products, including the Purina Pro Plan
line of pet foods, Hills Prescription diets, IVD
Limited Antigen diets, and a complete line of flea
and tick products for the home and pet.
We pride ourselves in being a friendly, caring group
of people who love animals. Many of our clients are
like our extended family. Our utmost concern is for
the health and well-being of your pet, and the
satisfaction of our clients.
